Taco Bell with Pete Davidson

The popular and world-renowned FastFood chain Taco Bell has been getting some flack recently for making the breakfast items too crazy. Taco bell is known for wild items on its menu and many people go crazy for them, however, the crazy breakfast items have not been a hit for customers. The naked egg taco and waffle sandwiches seem to not be what people way to grab quickly on their way to work in the morning.



Crazy and ridiculous has pros but in this situation, the crazy food did not work. Especially for someone like myself I don't enjoy the crazy breakfast items at Taco Bell I like simple things so when I saw their more simple menu item on Tic Tok and Instagram it drew me in and I will be going to Taco Bell in the future. Now it wasn't just the food that got me interested and made me remember the new taco bell breakfast crunch wrap. What really drew me in and has also got many others hooked on it is that Taco Bell had Pete Davidson give an apology for their crazy items and introduce the new Crunch Wrap Breakfast wrap. Pete is a big influencer and someone who is in the news a lot recently for his relationship with the famous supermodel Kim K.

This commercial had three big things that will most likely make it successful. I say most likely because it is a brand new ad just a couple of weeks old but it has multiple features that should get their new breakfast items off and run. Taco Bell sells Pete as a regular guy who understands and relates to normal people. This gives viewers and customers a way to relate to the commercial. They also use Pete as a way to apologize, this makes customers feel that Taco Bell gets them and in a sense makes them want to go to Taco Bell more. The Crunch Wrap supreme is known as one of Taco Bells best items and is a staple to their brand. The marketing strategy of re-engineering a product that they already sell makes customers way more likely to buy it. Customers have a sense of security when trying a new product that is pretty similar and has the same name as a best seller that most customers buy on the regular.

The Marketing Director and team did a great job in this ad, If I were them I would continue to use Pete in other ads and make him a celebrity face of taco bell. Pete Davidson is a person who is not very controversial and doesn't put heads with too many people. When using a celebrity it is important to find one that has a good view with the media and the press. These days cancel culture is in rapid effect and negative energy off of someone "Canceled" can spread to anything they even breathe on. 

This ad should boost taco bells breakfast sales and menu, helping to make them into a Mcdonald's type of company where their breakfast is just as big as the rest of their food.
